Do you accept demos?

Yes we do, but only in CD format, use the following address:

Rastilho Records almost never signs a band off a demo alone. It happens, but rarely.

* Please don't send us digital files (MP3's etc) or links to files since we don't have time to download files or listen online (also the quality usually sucks.)

Will you write back after listening our demo?

With the amount of demo tapes we receive there is rarely time to write back, unless of course we're interested in releasing your band. Please don't be too disappointed by this. We would love to be able to write back to everyone, but we are already working days, nights and weekends to try and get things done. Just in case though, please include your e-mail address.

 

What is your demo policy?

Demos are important, but it's very seldom we pick up a band by just hearing a demo. Usually we pay more importance to seeing bands live, reading or hearing good shit about'em from friends, mags, others bands, etc. But, hey, feel free to contact us. 

Do you release non-portuguese bands?

We're always available to hear new bands! But so far we're more focused in Portuguese bands...but why don't try your luck? We have european distribution, so it's not actually a big problem to us release non-portuguese bands. Moreover, this could become a major priority of our label in the near future.

Do you have a specific music genres in your label?

No, we don´t like music tags. It´s like a buzzword, we know, but we like to release good music. 

Metal, Hardcore, Punk, Rock, Indie, Ska, you name it! Don´t forget we´re specialize in vinyl records.

What kind of music you release in Portugal? What kind of distribution/promotion you have there?

Basically...good music! Anyway, check our bands and catalogue. About distribution, we have a national distribution in Portugal: online stores, small stores and chain-stores (Fnac, El Corte Ingles, etc). We cover the best Portuguese media partners: radios, magazines and TV's.

I have a magazine/website/radio-show. Will you send me promo Cds?

Maybe. Contac us by e-mail and include all the info we need to get you in our system (media name, country, info, style of music, phone, email, etc.) and we'll see what we can do.

I would like to interview one of your bands. Can that be arranged?

Yes, go ahead: please contact us by e-mail and we arrange a phone interview (or mail interview) with the band. We'll work something out for you.

Trouble finding our releases in your local record shop?

All stores determine what they stock....We're an independent record label, we don't have a worldwide distribution. We're trying our best to get new distributors in some countries, especially in Europe. 

You can buy our releases through our online store – we accept paypal! And we really appreciate if you can help us with a fine distribution advice in your country!

I have a shop and want to sell sell your records. What should I do? 

Great, we would love to work with you too! We can sell directly to you. Contact us via email with more information about your store. Please note we do not make merchandising wholesale.
 

Your records are in Digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify, etc.)? 

In part, yes. We invite you to visit the Rastilho Records Bandcamp, where you can directly support us digitally buying our releases. We're also on iTunes, Spotify and major digital platforms.

Are you hiring?

We do not actually have a job waiting for you. But we work with talented people (outsourced) in the areas of graphic design, web design and programming. If you think you can help us, if you have a specific idea or just a suggestion, please contact us.

Do you book your bands?

The answer is no. Please note: not all Rastilho bands tour extensively and availability varies widely. Not all bands are booked by the in-house agency, but our in-house booking agent can put you in touch with the agent for bands booked by outside agencies, when appropriate.

Is the Rastilho Records online store secure?

We understand that many consumers are concerned about Internet security.
